WEEKLY
POST OFFICE
Following the closure of the West Camel Village
Stores and Post Office several years ago, a weekly Post Office was set
up at the Davis Hall, thanks to the efforts of the Parish Council and
other local people, and the Postmaster at Queen Camel.
This
operates every Thursday 9am—12 noon. All the usual facilities are
available, including benefit payments, National Savings, etc.. Tea/coffee,and
light refreshments are served at a modest charge. Bread and cakes from
the village bakery are on sale, also charity cards and plants.
This is a good social occasion—comparable to the traditional ‘parish
pump’!
