The Davis Hall is probably the most ambitious project ever undertaken by the people of West Camel. The need for a Village Hall was recognised some years ago. Once the project was launched, lots of money was raised locally, and a successful bid for a National Lottery grant allowed the dream to become a reality in 2001. The hall was so named because Mrs Anne Marsh gave the plot of land, which had belonged to her father the late Mr W H Davis.

Since it opened, the Davis Hall has been well used, and some activity or other takes place on almost every day of the week. Local organisations which uses the Hall regularly include the Sunday Club, Short Mat Bowls Club, Art and Craft Group, Women's Institute, Gardener's Club, Computer Club, Lunch Club and Ultratone Exercise Club. For details of these local groups, see the organisations page.
The hall is an ideal venue for parties and wedding receptions. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and bar facilities. The adjoining committee room can also be hired separately for smaller gatherings.
